The Olympic Tower;

Developed and built by Greek shipping magnate Aristotel Onassis

in the 1970’s.  It was the first building to feature exterior walls of floor to ceiling glass windows in place of bricks and mortar.

Purchased as a pied-a-terre for the out of town buyers,

I asked the owners; of all the possible places in NYC, why buy in Rockefeller Center?

Their answer was that they wanted to be in the heart of the city.

My idea was then to “bring the streets up to the apartment”, they agreed.
